Skyfire wind turbines are based on the tried-and-true dual rotor axial flux turbine design. We have incorporated slip rings into the design to prevent unnecessary wire twisting.

Skyfire Turbines are hand-built one at a time just outside Eugene, Oregon. We pride ourselves in making a turbine that is robust and constructed with over 250 pounds of steel to take whatever the wind throws at it.

Our 12-foot turbine produces over 2500 watts of output at 26 m.p.h. When high winds are encountered, the turbine folds up out of the wind to protect itself until safer winds return.  We also build a 16 foot turbine that is capable of producing well over 4,000 watts.

Each turbine is hot-dipped galvanized. This finish prevents rust and offers a dull grey finish that blends nicely into the background.
