Skyfire LLC is dedicated to bringing you renewable wind energy at low cost. We offer full-scale wind turbines that have the capacity to supply all of the power needed by an average home. We can also teach you to build your own wind turbine.

Unfortunately, alternative energy is usually expensive. This discourages many people from even considering it as an option. Commercial wind turbines that produce amounts of electricity comparable to ours cost many thousands of dollars. But the turbines we teach our students to build rival even the best commercially available turbines. They are rugged and dependable, with the added beauty that they are easy to build, and produce a satisfaction that can't be bought.

The Skyfire facility is located along the beautiful McKenzie River outside Eugene, Oregon. We have been off-grid with a modern home and facility since 2004. We are powered by two of our wind turbines, with solar backup for when the wind isn't blowing.

Skyfire is the brainchild of Jason Stein. Jason spends half the year teaching workshops and building wind turbines. The other half of the year, he is an active Certified Arborist. Jason's company Treeplanter.com plants over 1,000 trees each year in local urban landscapes, including all of the street trees for the City of Eugene.
